Febrisan sachets contain three active substances: paracetamol , phenylephrine and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Paracetamol has an antipyretic and analgesic effect. Phenylephrine reduces nasal congestion and swelling, unblocking the nasal passages. Ascorbic acid covers the increased demand for vitamin C that occurs during colds and flu .
Indications
Febrisan is used for the short-term treatment of cold and flu symptoms such as: fever, chills, headaches, muscle pain, sore throat, runny nose, sinus pain.

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Recommended dose
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
1 sachet every 4-6 hours. Do not use more than 4 sachets per day, i.e. 3 g of paracetamol, 240 mg of ascorbic acid and 40 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride.
Method of administration
Oral administration.
Before use, the powder should be dissolved in a glass of hot water.

Contraindications
When not to use Febrisan
If you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you have:
- hypertension, aneurysms;
- hyperthyroidism;
- heart disease;
- severe renal failure;
- liver failure;
- diabetes;
- congenital deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
- phenylketonuria;
- narrow-angle glaucoma;
- alcoholism.
In the case of treatment with: MAO inhibitors and within 2 weeks after their discontinuation; β-blockers; tricyclic antidepressants.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding.
In children under 12 years of age.
Notes on use
Patients with renal and/or hepatic impairment
Special caution should be exercised in patients with renal and/or hepatic impairment.
The drug is contraindicated in patients with hepatic impairment and/or severe renal impairment.
Febrisan contains sucrose, aspartame (E 951) and sodium.
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, you should contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
This medicine contains a source of phenylalanine. It may be harmful to patients with phenylketonuria and is not used in these patients.
This medicine contains 164 mg of sodium per dose, which should be taken into account in patients with reduced kidney function and in patients on a controlled sodium diet.
Contents: Febrisan is a slightly yellow effervescent powder with a lemon flavor. The cardboard box contains 16 sachets or oblong sachets made of a four-layer foil: paper/PE/Al/ionomer.
