Cebion 100 mg/ml, oral drops, 30 ml

Cebion oral drops contain ascorbic acid (vitamin C) , a substance essential for humans.

Vitamin C participates in many enzymatic reactions (including collagen synthesis, catecholamine synthesis, hydroxylation of steroids, tyrosine and exogenous substances), increases the absorption of iron salts, and inhibits free radical chain reactions. Its antioxidant effect is in close biochemical dependence with the antioxidant effect of vitamin E, vitamin A and carotenoids.

Cebion is intended for the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency in cases where an appropriate diet is not enough.

Cebion should always be used exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor.
In young children up to 3 years of age, Cebion should be administered after consulting a doctor.

Unless a different dosage is necessary:

• infants and small children (from the 28th day of life to the end of the 23rd month of life) are given 5-8 drops per day, preferably by adding the drops to a bottle or a spoonful of milk, tea or fruit juice
• children (from 24 months to the end of 11 years of age) should take 10 drops a day
• adolescents (from 12 years of age) and adults 15-20 drops daily.

In case of greater need for vitamin, the given doses can be taken twice daily.

Do not use Cebion if:

• you are allergic to ascorbic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
• the patient has kidney stones,
• the patient has a history of increased uric acid levels,
• the patient has iron storage disorders (accumulation in the body),
• the patient suffers from a stomach ulcer.
