Piloxidil 20 mg/ml, skin liquid, 60 ml

Piloxidil is a liquid for topical application to the scalp. Piloxidil contains the active substance minoxidil, which stimulates hair growth in androgenetic alopecia. The cessation of excessive hair loss is observed after about 8 weeks of using the drug, while the first regrowth in the form of thin vellus hair occurs after 4 to 5 months of treatment.

Piloxidil is indicated for the treatment of male pattern baldness (alopecia androgenetica) in men and women aged 18 to 65. Piloxidil is most effective in younger people in the early stages of balding. Better treatment results are achieved in the vertex area than in the frontal-temporal area. Discontinuation of treatment causes the therapeutic effect to regress within a few months.

The active substance of the drug is minoxidil at a concentration of 2%.

1 ml of liquid contains 20 mg of minoxidil.

Other ingredients are: ethanol, propylene glycol, purified water.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
This medicine is for topical use on the scalp.
Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, it is usually used as described below.

Adults (aged 18 to 65 years)
Apply 1 ml of the medicine to the dry scalp twice a day, approximately every 12 hours, in places where hair is falling out, and rub lightly with your fingertips. Do not rub or dry these areas. The medicine should be applied using a pump (1 ml is obtained by pressing the pump button five times).
Wash your hands thoroughly after using the medicine.
Do not use more than 2 ml of the medicine per day. Do not use the medicine on other parts of the body.
Do not wash your hair or head within 4 hours after using the medicine.
Stop treatment after a year if there are no visible results of the treatment.
Do not increase the dose or frequency of use of the medicine.
If the dispenser tube becomes clogged with crystallized medicine, it can be washed with warm, boiled water.
If you feel that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak, consult a doctor.

Do not use in children (under 18 years of age) or elderly people.

• If the patient is allergic to minoxidil or any of the other ingredients of the medicine;
• during pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• if the patient has scalp diseases, e.g. severe seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, scalp infections, scalp with symptoms of disruption of the epidermis;
• if you suffer from hypertension (treated or untreated);
• if you have sunburned scalp;
• if the patient has a freshly shaved scalp;
• under an occlusive dressing;
• if the patient is also using other medications topically on the scalp.
