kodan Tinktur forte colorless is intended for skin disinfection before surgical procedures, vein catheterization, blood and body fluid collection, injections, punctures, biopsies, removal of sutures, for hygienic hand disinfection. Prevents skin fungal infections.

100 g of skin fluid contains active ingredients:

• 2-Propanolum (2-propanol) 45 g,
• 1-Propanolum (1-propanol) 10 g,
• 2-Biphenylol (2-diphenylol) 0.2 g.

Other ingredients: hydrogen peroxide 30%, purified water.

Dosage
Before injections and blood collection: 15 seconds of action.
Before punctures: 60 seconds of action.
Preoperative skin disinfection:

1. If necessary, the surgical field should be shaved.
2. Bathe or wash the patient using, for example, Esemtan or Octenisan washing emulsion, preferably one hour before the planned date of the procedure.
3. Apply Kodan Tinktur forte colourless using a sterile gauze or spray for 1 minute, remembering to thoroughly wet the surgical field.
4. Apply the surgical foil after the medicinal product has thoroughly dried.

Skin disinfection before injections, punctures:

• The skin at the treatment site should be moistened with the drug kodan Tinktur forte colorless using a sterile gauze or from a sprayer. Leave to dry according to the action time.

Removing stitches:

• The treatment area should be moistened with a sterile gauze or a medicinal product from an atomizer soaked in the medicinal product. Excessive amount of the medicinal product kodan Tinktur forte colorless should be dried with a sterile gauze.
• Surgical sutures should be dried with sterile gauze pads moistened with Kodan Tinktur forte colorless.

Method of administration:

• Medicinal product for application to the skin.
• kodan Tinktur forte colorless is used undiluted.
• The skin should be thoroughly moistened with the medicinal product from the spray bottle or using a sterile gauze pad soaked in the medicinal product.

Hypersensitivity to 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 2-diphenylol or any of the excipients.
