Kamala grows in tropical regions of India, New Guinea and the Philippines. It comes from the evergreen tree Rottleria tinctoria from the Euphorbiacea family. Kamala is used in the production of cosmetics and as an ingredient in dyes.
The powdered hairs of the camellia fruit contain about 80% resin.
