What is Flonidan Control and what is it used for?
Flonidan Control is an antiallergic drug that relieves the symptoms of an allergic reaction.
Flonidan Control is used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis , such as:
- sneezing,
- watery discharge from the nose or itchy nose,
- itching of the palate,
- itching, redness or watery eyes.
Indications
Flonidan Control is also used to treat the symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (i.e. chronic urticaria of unknown cause), such as itching and hives.

Active substance | The active substance is loratadine.
One tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine. |
Other ingredients | lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, corn starch, colloidal anhydrous silica. |
Dosage
- Adults and children over 12 years of age: 10 mg loratadine (1 tablet) once daily.
- Children aged 2 to 12 years and weighing more than 30 kg: 10 mg of loratadine (1 tablet) once daily.
It is not recommended to use 10 mg tablets in children weighing less than 30 kg.
Efficacy and safety have not been established in children under 2 years of age.
Dosage in patients with severe hepatic impairment
In patients with severe hepatic impairment, a lower initial dose should be used, as loratadine clearance may be reduced in these patients. In adults and children weighing more than 30 kg, the recommended dose is 10 mg of loratadine (1 tablet) every other day.
Dosage in elderly patients and in patients with renal failure Dosage adjustment is not necessary.
Method of administration
The tablets should be swallowed without chewing, with some liquid. The tablets can be taken regardless of meals.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to loratadine or any of the excipients.
- Pregnancy.
