Description
Duozinal syrup 150 ml
In adults and children aged 2 years and over:
- relief of nasal and eye symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (such as sneezing, nasal itching, nasal congestion, eye redness and itching, tearing);
- relieving the symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (such as itching, hives, skin redness).
Active substance: Calcium chloride , Cetirizine dihydrochloridum
Composition
5 ml of syrup contains:
- 2.5 mg cetirizine dihydrochloride (Cetirizini dihydrochloridum),
- 58 mg of calcium ions in the form of calcium chloride dihydrate (Calcii chloridum dihydricum).
Excipient with known effect: sucrose 2.852 g/5 ml.
Dosage
Oral administration. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 20 ml of syrup once daily. Take the product one hour before a meal, with plenty of fluid. It is not recommended to drink milk drinks.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Children aged 2 to 6 years: 5 ml of syrup twice daily. Children aged 6 to 12 years: 10 ml of syrup twice daily.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to cetirizine, calcium chloride or any of the excipients.
- Hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine or piperazine derivatives.
- Increased calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcaemia, e.g. in patients with hypervitaminosis D, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis, neoplastic diseases with bone metastases, e.g. plasmacytoma).
- Hypercalciuria.
- Galactosemia.
- Kidney stones.
- Moderate or severe renal impairment.
- Atrioventricular block.
Contents
Duozinal is a colorless to yellow syrup with a vanilla flavor. The drug is packaged in a type III brown glass bottle with a white aluminum cap, placed together with a PP measuring cup in a cardboard box. Package size – 150 ml.
