Calcium Gluconicum is a medicine containing calcium .

• Calcium is an essential mineral for the body.
• It is an important component of bone tissue and participates in the functioning of the nervous system and muscles.
• It is essential in the blood clotting process.
• It reduces the permeability of blood vessel walls, thanks to which it has anti-exudative, anti-edematous and anti-allergic effects.
• Stimulates the body’s defense mechanisms.
• Calcium deficiency leads to neuromuscular disorders and bone demineralization (decalcification of the bones leading to their softening).

• States of increased demand for calcium (e.g. during periods of intensive growth in children and adolescents, during pregnancy, breastfeeding, convalescence).
• Calcium deficiency states in the body (e.g. due to absorption disorders, increased calcium deposition in bone tissue).
• Treatment of osteoporosis of various origins (also preventively), tetany.
• Supportive in the treatment of allergic diseases (including urticaria, bronchial asthma, angioedema), in the treatment of inflammatory conditions (e.g. in diseases of the respiratory tract, throat), bone fractures, bone demineralization.

Adults: orally 1 to 2 tablets 4 times a day, after meals, with water.

• Hypersensitivity to calcium salts
• Hypersensitivity to any of the excipients
• Hypercalcaemia, e.g. in patients with hyperparathyroidism, hypervitaminosis D, myeloma or bone metastases
• Severe hypercalciuria
• Renal failure
• Taking large doses of vitamin D
