BAYER, KILTIX COLLAR AGAINST FLEAS, TICKS, LICE, LICE
for dogs 70cm
EXPIRATION DATE: 09.2024
KILTIX is:
- The collar contains two active substances: propoxur, a carbamic acid derivative, and a synthetic pyrethroid – flumethrin.
- When the collar is worn by the animal, they are released continuously and spread in its fur, acting on fleas and ticks by contact. The absorption of both components through the skin of dogs is negligible and does not pose any threat to the animal.
- The duration of action and effectiveness depend on, among other things, the length and density of the fur, the animal’s maintenance condition, and the intensity of the tick invasion.
Moisture in the collar, caused by frequent bathing or exposure to rain, may limit its effectiveness.
The preparation begins to work within the first 24 hours of insertion and lasts for up to six months.
For the treatment and protection against invasions of ticks of the species Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus, as well as fleas Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis in dogs.

In rare cases, slight itching of the skin may occur in the first few days after the collar is put on. In the event of a severe hypersensitivity reaction, the collar should be removed immediately.
Dosage and method of use:
For small dogs, we use one collar, fastening it loosely around the animal’s neck. The collar should be removed from the sealed packaging, unrolled and the plastic stops on the smooth inner side of the collar removed, holding the ends and stretching slightly several times to facilitate the release of the active substance, and then put on loosely around the animal’s neck, pulling it through the clip. The collar should be worn constantly, except for bathing. It can be put on again when the fur dries.
In individual cases, while wearing the collar, ticks may become infested, but they fall off after three days at the latest without sucking blood.

What to use instead of the Foresto collar?
Another product worth considering is the Kiltix collar, also from Bayer. Its action and healing ingredients are very similar to those found in the Foresto collar. However, Kiltix is designed specifically for long-haired dogs.
