Active substance: Ambroxol hydrochloride
Composition
The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup contains 15 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
Other ingredients are: sorbitol (E 420), citric acid monohydrate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), glycerol, propylene glycol, sodium saccharin (E 954), raspberry flavour*, purified water. * flavour composition: lactic acid, triacetin, vanillin, p-hydroxybenzylacetone, rose oil.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The syrup should be taken orally, with meals.
Do not use this medicine for longer than 4 to 5 days without consulting your doctor.
Use in adults and children over 12 years of age
Treatment in acute diseases or initial treatment in chronic diseases should be started with a dose of 60 mg (20 ml of syrup) twice daily for the first 2 to 3 days, then the dose can be reduced by half – to 30 mg (10 ml) twice daily.
Use in children
- aged 6 to 12 years – 5 ml 2 to 3 times daily;
- aged 2 to 6 years – 2.5 ml 3 times a day;
- from 1 to 2 years of age – 2.5 ml twice daily;
- in the first year of life – the drug is not recommended;
Do not use this medicine in children without consulting a doctor.
