Allertec Foxill gel 1 mg/g 30 g
Allertec Foxill is a gel for application to the skin. Allertec Foxill contains the active substance dimethindene maleate, which inhibits the action of histamine – a substance responsible for allergic reactions.
The drug has a local anti-allergic effect, strongly antipruritic (excluding cholestatic pruritus), reduces swelling, soothes skin irritations. It has local anesthetic properties. It cools, which additionally soothes irritated skin.
Indications
Itching accompanying skin diseases, hives, insect bites, sunburn, superficial skin burns (first degree).
Active substance: Dimethindeni maleas
Composition
The active substance is dimethinedene maleate. 1 gram of gel contains 1 mg of dimethinedene maleate.
Other ingredients are: carbomer (type 974 P), disodium edetate, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
A medicine intended for application to the skin.
Usually, unless your doctor recommends otherwise, apply the medicine 2 to 4 times a day, applying a thin layer of gel to the affected and itchy skin area.
If you take more Allertec Foxill than you should
There have been no reports of overdose with dimethindene maleate when applied topically to the skin.
If you swallow the medicine, contact your doctor immediately.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Avoid use on infants and young children (under 2 years of age) on large areas of skin, especially in cases of wounds or inflammation of the skin.
Contraindications
When not to use Allertec Foxill
- if you are allergic to dimethindene maleate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- for second and third degree burns.
