Loxon Max 5% Minoxidil for Androgenetic Alopecia
Loxon Max (Loxon 5%) is a medicine for androgenetic alopecia, which comes in the form of a liquid to be applied to the scalp. The active substance on which the formula of the preparation is based is minoxidil. It has a reversing and inhibiting effect on miniaturization of hair follicles, and also acts strongly stimulating the multiplication of hair follicle cells in the growth phase.
Treatment of androgenetic alopecia with the use of Loxon Max can only be used in women and men aged 18 to 65. Loxon is used in the case of androgenetic hair loss, which is a progressive disease and is based on genetic hypersensitivity to the active form of testosterone – dihydrotestosterone. 1 Before using the preparation, talk to your doctor or pharmacist and check whether the symptoms of baldness correspond to androgenetic alopecia.
In the treatment of androgenic hair loss with Loxon Max, hair loss inhibition was observed already in the second month of regular use of the preparation, hair growth usually begins after 2 months of treatment. The maximum effect of treatment with Loxon Max is usually achieved after about 12 months of systematic use of the liquid.
Indications
Indications for use: Treatment of androgenetic alopecia in women and men aged 18-65. Loxon Max is a hair loss drug intended for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. It should be used after consultation with a doctor or pharmacist who will confirm its occurrence.
How to recognize androgenetic alopecia? It can manifest itself:
- baldness on the top of the head in men;
- the formation of receding hairlines and significant shifting of the hairline;
- baldness in men at a young age;
- appears in the family history.
The preparation for hair loss of androgenetic alopecia can be used in the case of hair loss in young men. However, it should be remembered that the drug Loxon Max is intended for people aged 18-65.

How to use
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Use this medicine twice a day. Apply 1 ml of liquid (average volume 10 sprays) to the scalp in the balding areas, morning and evening. The volume of 1 spray is 0.1 ml. Do not exceed a dose of 2 ml in 24 hours (average 2 × 10 sprays per day).
The medicine is for topical use only. Loxon Max should be applied according to the instructions, only to the scalp. Before using Loxon Max, the hair and scalp should be completely dry. 1 ml of the liquid should be spread on the balding areas and massaged into the skin (most often the top of the head and the frontal bends).
Note: Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medicine to the scalp.
It may be necessary to use the medicine twice daily for four months or longer. Hair growth usually begins after 2 months of treatment with Loxon Max. If hair growth occurs after 2 months, it is necessary to continue using Loxon Max twice daily to maintain its effect. Sometimes, after stopping treatment with minoxidil cutaneous liquid, hair growth has stopped and sometimes returned to its previous appearance within 3 to 4 months of stopping treatment. Treatment should be stopped if there is no improvement after one year of treatment.

Androgenic alopecia treatment – Loxon Max how to use?
- Spray 1 ml of the preparation onto clean and dry scalp in the area of balding, then massage in;
- 1 spray of the preparation has a volume of 0.1 ml (the average volume of 10 sprays is 1 ml);
- do not exceed the dose of 2 ml per day (max. 2 x 10 sprays).
Caution: protect your eyes, nose and mouth when spraying! Wash your hands thoroughly after applying Loxon hair loss medicine to your scalp! Do not use Loxon Max androgenetic alopecia medicine while using other topical medicinal products on your scalp.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients, in patients with treated or untreated hypertension, in cases of sudden or unexplained hair loss, if hair loss is associated with serious diseases such as thyroid dysfunction, systemic lupus erythematosus, hair loss from certain skin areas due to inflammation of the scalp or other diseases, when the scalp is shaved or diseased (e.g. psoriasis, inflamed, red, irritated, or painful scalp), in patients who use occlusive dressings or apply other topical medicinal products.
