Aleric Deslo Active is an anti-allergic medicine that does not cause drowsiness. It helps control the allergic reaction and its symptoms. Aleric Deslo Active relieves the symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis ( inflammation of the nasal mucosa caused by an allergy, for example hay fever or allergy to dust mites). Symptoms of this condition include: sneezing, itchy or runny nose, itchy palate and itchy, red or watery eyes.
Indications
Aleric Deslo Active is also used to relieve symptoms associated with urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy). Symptoms of this condition include: itching and hives. Relief of these symptoms lasts all day, making it easier to return to normal daily activities and normal sleep. If after 3 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, talk to your doctor.
Active substance: Desloratadine
Composition
The active substance of the drug is desloratadine at a dose of 2.5 mg.
The other ingredients are: polacrilin potassium, citric acid monohydrate, red iron oxide (E 172), magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, Tutti Frutti flavour (also containing propylene glycol), aspartame (E 951), microcrystalline cellulose, spray-dried mannitol and potassium hydroxide (to adjust pH).
Dosage
Before use, the blister must be carefully opened by tearing it open. Remove the orodispersible tablet without crushing it. Place it in your mouth where it will disintegrate immediately. Water or other liquid is not needed to swallow the dose.
- Children aged 6 to 11 years: one 2.5 mg Aleric Deslo Active orodispersible tablet once daily. The dose should be taken immediately after removal from the blister.
- Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: two Aleric Deslo Active 2.5 mg orodispersible tablets once daily. The dose should be taken immediately after removal from the blister.
- Do not use the medicine for more than 10 days without consulting a doctor. If after 3 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact a doctor.

Use of the drug in children and adolescents
This medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
Contraindications
- if you are allergic to desloratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine or to loratadine.
Notes on use
Using Aleric Deslo Active with food and drink:
It is not necessary to take the medicine with water or other liquid. The medicine can be taken with or without food. The medicine contains aspartame. Aspartame is a source of phenylalanine, which may be harmful to people with phenylketonuria.
