No-Spa Max 80 mg, 24 coated tablets

No-Spa Max is an antispasmodic drug that reduces pain (painful spasms) in the abdominal organs and pelvis, i.e. in the digestive tract (stomach and intestines), biliary and urinary tracts, and in women also the reproductive tract.

The No-Spa Max drug contains drotaverine hydrochloride as an active substance. This substance is used in the spasm of smooth muscles of both nervous and muscular origin, most often manifested by pain in the abdominal cavity. The antispasmodic effect of drotaverine does not depend on the type of innervation and the location of smooth muscles (gastrointestinal tract, urogenital system, circulatory system and bile ducts). The drug is metabolized in the liver, excreted mainly in the urine and to a lesser extent through the digestive tract.

No-Spa Max is used :

• in spasmodic states of smooth muscles associated with diseases of the biliary tract: cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pericholecystitis, cholangitis, inflammation of the ampulla of Vater
• in spasmodic conditions of the smooth muscles of the urinary tract: nephrolithiasis, ureteral stones, pyelitis, cystitis, painful urge to urinate

and supporting :

in spasms of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract: gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, in spasms of the gastric cardia and pylorus, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic constipation and intestinal flatulence, pancreatitis – in gynecological diseases: painful menstruation.

The active substance is drotaverine. Each film-coated tablet contains 80 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride.
The other ingredients are: tablet core: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, talc. Tablet coating: Opadry II yellow 85G32207: polyvinyl alcohol, talc, quinoline yellow lake (E 104), macrogol, titanium dioxide (E 171), lecithin (soy), iron oxide yellow (E 172), iron oxide red (E 172).

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

Recommended dose

Adults:
-1 film-coated tablet 2 or 3 times daily; daily dose is 120 to 240 mg.

Use in children:
Clinical studies have not been conducted in children. No-Spa Max should be used with caution in children over 12 years of age.
If it is necessary to use No-Spa Max in children over 12 years of age:

• 1 film-coated tablet 1 or 2 times daily; maximum daily dose for children is 160 mg.

Without consulting a doctor, the medicine can be used for a maximum of 7 days.

If you take more No-Spa Max than you should
If you take more than the recommended dose of the medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

Missed dose of No-Spa Max
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible, except when it is almost time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

No-Spa Max should be used with caution in children over 12 years of age. No-Spa Max should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

When not to use No-Spa Max :

• if you are allergic to drotaverine, peanuts, soy or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
• if you have severe liver, kidney and circulatory failure,
• if the patient has II-III degree atrioventricular block,
• in children under 12 years of age.
