Vigalex Forte vitamin D3 2000 IU 120 tablets
The indication for the use of the drug is the prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in adults with obesity. Each tablet contains 40 mg of cholecalciferol. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is produced in the body in the skin by the action of UV rays and is supplied with food. In vitamin D deficiency, bone calcification disorders (rickets) or loss of calcium from the bones (osteomalacia) occur.

Prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in adults with obesity [body mass index (BMI) ≥ 30].
Action
Prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency.
Composition
1 tablet contains:
- active substance: cholecalciferol 40 mg,
- the other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose (type 102), calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, pregelatinized maize starch, crospovidone (type A), sucrose, magnesium stearate, sodium ascorbate, medium chain triglycerides, colloidal anhydrous silica, all-rac-α-tocopherol.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults, as a preventive measure in cases of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency (obesity): 1 tablet of 4000 IU daily, from October to April or throughout the year if effective skin synthesis of vitamin D is not ensured during the summer months.
Patients with renal failure should not use the drug without medical supervision.
Patients with hepatic impairment: no special dosage recommendations.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, you should not use it.
- Do not use in case of hypercalcaemia (too much calcium in the blood) or hypercalciuria (excessive excretion of calcium in the urine).
- If you have kidney stones or severe kidney failure.
