Indications

Vitaminum E Hasco Drops 300mg/1ml is a non-prescription drug indicated for use in the treatment and prevention of vitamin E deficiency resulting from long-term improper nutrition or metabolic disorders (e.g. hereditary disorders of lipid metabolism: malabsorption syndrome, abetalipoproteinemia, cystic fibrosis).

The drops can also be used as a support in the case of atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease and its secondary prevention, as well as in all diseases associated with oxidative stress.

Composition

1 ml (approximately 30 drops) contains 300 mg of int-rac-α-Tocopherylis acetas (all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate).

1 drop contains approx. 10 mg of int-rac-α-Tocopherylis acetas (all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate).

Excipient with known effect: purified peanut oil.

Dosage

The drug is intended for oral use.

Unless your doctor recommends otherwise, the medicine is usually used preventively:

– newborns, infants and children up to 6 years of age: 10 mg (1 drop) daily;

– children from 7 to 15 years: 20 mg (2 drops) daily;

– adolescents and adults: 30 mg (3 drops a day)

therapeutically:

cystic fibrosis:

– newborns and infants (up to 1 year of age): 50 mg (5 drops) daily;

– children over 1 year of age: 100 mg (10 drops) daily;

– adolescents and adults: 100 to 200 mg daily

For infants and young children, the medicine can be given diluted or mixed with a drink.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance (vitamin E) or any of the excipients.

It should not be used in case of vitamin K deficiency.
