What are the indications for use of Deflegmin 75 mg?
Deflegmin EFFECT LONG is a mucolytic drug in the form of prolonged-release capsules. This is a modern treatment for wet cough. Just 1 capsule a day is enough.
This ensures convenience of use, as you do not have to remember about subsequent doses.
It increases the secretion of mucus in the respiratory tract and improves its transport, which facilitates expectoration and relieves cough. This effect is provided by the active substance – ambroxol hydrochloride.
Deflegmin EFFECT LONG is indicated for oral use:
- in acute and chronic lung and bronchial diseases accompanied by difficulty in expectorating sticky secretions from the respiratory tract.

Deflegmin 75 mg – composition and form
The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. One prolonged-release capsule contains 75 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride and excipients with known effect: one prolonged-release capsule contains 160.5 mg of sucrose and 0.139 mg of indigotine.
Pharmaceutical form: white and blue prolonged-release capsules.
Dosage – how to use Deflegmin 75 mg?
Adults : 1 capsule daily, in the morning or evening, after a meal, with a small amount of liquid.
Children and adolescents : the product in the form of prolonged-release capsules should not be used in children and adolescents (in children from 1 to 6 years of age Deflegmin can be used in the form of oral drops or syrup, and in children over 6 years of age and adolescents Deflegmin can be used in the form of tablets).
Elderly people : No dosage adjustment is necessary.
Method of administration : Product for oral use. The capsule should be taken after a meal, with a small amount of liquid. The medicine should not be taken immediately before bedtime.
If after 4 to 5 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.
If you miss your next dose, take it as soon as possible. However, do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose. Discontinuing Deflegmin EFFECT LONG has no adverse effects, except for the possibility of worsening the symptoms of the disease for which it is used.
Overdose : No specific symptoms of ambroxol overdose in humans have been described to date. Symptoms reported after accidental overdose and/or misuse of ambroxol were consistent with the known side effects of Deflegmin EFFECT LONG at recommended doses. Symptomatic treatment may be necessary.
Use of Deflegmin 75 mg in children and adolescents
The medicine should not be used in children and adolescents.
Deflegmin EFFECT LONG is also available in doses and forms adapted to the needs of children and adolescents.
When not to use Deflegmin 75 mg?
- If you are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
