Ibufen for children FORTE with raspberry flavor belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The drug has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Indications
The medicine is intended for use in children, adolescents and adults in the following cases:
- fever of various origins (also in the course of viral infections);
- pain of various origins of mild to moderate intensity (including earache occurring in inflammation of the middle ear).

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- The medicine should be administered orally.
- The package includes a dispenser in the form of a syringe.
- When determining the dose of ibuprofen, the body weight (BW) and age of the patient should be taken into account. The usual single dose of ibuprofen is 7 to 10 mg/kg BW, up to a maximum daily dose of 30 mg/kg BW, divided into 3 to 4 single doses.
- The minimum interval between subsequent doses is 6 hours.
- For precise dosing, a syringe-shaped dispenser is included in the package.
- Shake the bottle before use.
- Do not exceed the maximum daily dose.
Recommended dose:
- Infants from 3 to 6 months of age (5-7.6 kg): initial dose 1.25 ml (equivalent to 50 mg ibuprofen). Then, if necessary, 1.25 ml every 8 hours. The maximum daily dose is 3.75 ml (equivalent to 150 mg ibuprofen).
- Infants from 6 to 12 months of age (7.7–9 kg): initial dose 1.25 ml (equivalent to 50 mg ibuprofen). Then, if necessary, 1.25 ml every 6–8 hours. Maximum daily dose is 3.75 ml to 5 ml (equivalent to 150–200 mg ibuprofen).
- Children from 1 to 3 years (10-15 kg): initial dose 2.5 ml (equivalent to 100 mg ibuprofen). Then, if necessary, 2.5 ml every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose is 7.5 ml (300 mg ibuprofen).
- Children from 4 to 6 years (16-20 kg): initial dose 3.75 ml (equivalent to 150 mg ibuprofen). Then, if necessary, 3.75 ml every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose is 11.25 ml (450 mg ibuprofen).
- Children from 7 to 9 years (21-29 kg): initial dose 5 ml (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen). Then, if necessary, 5 ml every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose is 15 ml (600 mg ibuprofen).
- Children from 10 to 12 years (30-40 kg): initial dose 7.5 ml (equivalent to 300 mg ibuprofen). Then, if necessary, 7.5 ml every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose is 22.5 ml (900 mg ibuprofen).
- Children and adolescents from 12 years and adults: initial dose 5 ml to 10 ml (equivalent to 200 mg to 400 mg ibuprofen). Then, if necessary, 5 ml to 10 ml every 6 to 8 hours. The maximum daily dose is 30 ml (1200 mg ibuprofen).
Contraindications
When not to use Ibufen for children FORTE with raspberry flavor
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- if you have had allergic reactions in the past, such as runny nose (rhinitis), angioedema, urticaria, bronchospasm, bronchial asthma after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs),
- if you have or have ever had a stomach or duodenal ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding,
- if you have had bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract, related to previous NSAID treatment,
- if you have severe liver, kidney or heart failure,
- if you have cerebrovascular bleeding or other active bleeding,
- if the patient has a bleeding disorder,
- if you have unexplained blood disorders such as thrombocytopenia,
- if you have severe dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake),
- during the last three months of pregnancy,
- Do not give to infants weighing less than 5 kg.
Contents: 100 ml PET bottle with 5 ml oral syringe (LDPE barrel, PS plunger) in a cardboard box.
